Abanindranath Tagore

Abanindranath Tagore, born in 1871 in Calcutta and died in 1951 in Calcutta, was an Indian painter and a pioneer of the Bengal School of Art, which sought to revive traditional Indian art forms. His works, such as 'Bharat Mata' and 'The Passing of Shah Jahan,' are celebrated for their fusion of Indian cultural themes with a modern, nationalist aesthetic.
