Adam Pynacker

Adam Pynacker, born in 1622 in Schiedam and died in 1673 in Amsterdam, was a Dutch Golden Age painter known for his landscapes, particularly Italianate landscapes. He was active in Schiedam and Amsterdam and is considered one of the outstanding Dutch exponents of Italianate landscapes. Pynacker's works are celebrated for their atmospheric effects and detailed realism, capturing the essence of the Italian countryside and classical antiquity. He was influenced by the Italian landscape tradition and artists like Jan Both and Nicolaes Berchem.
