Antoni Tàpies

Antoni Tàpies (1923-2012) was a Catalan painter, sculptor, and art theorist. He was born in Barcelona and is known for his mixed-media paintings that incorporated marble dust, found objects, and resin. Tàpies was instrumental in the advancement of modern art and is considered one of Spain's most important artists of the twentieth century.
